Welcome to SharonDiotte.com: A Space for Healing, Truth, and New Beginnings

Annabelle Otto

Welcome to the official website of Sharon Diotte, author of the powerful new memoir, Te’ora: From Vulnerability and Wounding to Wisdom and Freedom. We’re delighted you’ve found your way here.

Finding “Te’ora”: A Beautiful New Life

Te’ora – a Rapanui word meaning “a beautiful, new life” – chronicles Sharon’s international journey of healing and transformation. Inspired by the #MeToo movement, this deeply personal account traces Sharon’s path from surviving sexual assault and domestic violence to creating a life filled with purpose, wisdom, and an open heart.

Sharon’s story unfolds across Canada, the USA, Pakistan, and Rapa Nui (Easter Island), weaving together themes of destiny, self-discovery, and resilience. While unflinchingly honest about the impacts of patriarchal misogyny, Te’ora ultimately stands as a testament to the healing power of breaking silence.

More Than a Memoir

Te’ora serves as both testimony and guide. Sharon has intentionally included practical healing modalities and insights for women in similar situations. She understands that while each healing journey is unique, shared wisdom can illuminate the path forward.

This memoir speaks especially to women who have carried their wounds in silence, showing that healing—though rarely linear—becomes possible when we honor our experiences and reclaim our strength.

You’ll find Annabelle’s contributions regularly featured on this blog, offering another voice to the themes that embody Te’ora. Annabelle and Sharon’s intergenerational relationship proves how important it is for women of all ages to connect with each other on their healing journeys. These kinds of relationships show how we can learn and heal together.
